For large retailers, whatever spin they create, wine is no different to any other product. All that matters to them is that big volumes are shifted quickly and high margins made. They look to producers who can offer large quantities at low prices. As for the wine itself, quaffability and consistency are the key requirements, often resulting in bland, characterless wines.

Whether a wine's just won a major award or been raved about in the trade press, we're on it in a flash and we do everything we can to get hold of a sample bottle.
Naturally we taste all our wines before admitting them to our select list, but unlike most retailers, we also re-taste each wine whenever the vintage changes to ensure that they always meet our exacting standards.
We're quietly confident you'll get the same enjoyment out of our wines as we do, but if not, don't worry. If you're not happy, we're not happy and we'll always give you a refund.

We actively encourage personal tastings, whether it's just for you, or for a group of friends or work colleagues. All tastings are tailored to your specific requirements. Tastings can be arrrange at your home or in our own stylish tasting room (by appointment).
